A group of Brethren of the Order of The Secret Monitor recently enjoyed a fun packed week end at the Evans Hotel in the North Wales seaside resort of Llandudno. Stephen Jackson, Gordon Fletcher from Roses in Concord Conclave,Colin Lee from Champion Conclave along with Allan Shields from Robert Burns were joined by their wives for a fantastic week end that had been organised by Alan Edge, The Provincial Recorder, his wife Val and Trevor Howarth. The Secret Monitors made up a Masonic group that included brethren from both Accrington and Bolton fellowship.
Many had arrived early Friday to enjoy all that Llandudno has to offer and then all met up for a fantastic five course evening meal served in the wonderful surroundings of the hotel restaurant.
Following the meal there was a fantastic night’s entertainment enjoyed by all in the bar with a singer, bingo and plenty of dancing.
The Saturday morning started with a hearty breakfast, after which the brethren boarded a coach for a trip out to a local shopping outlet and a visit to the island of Anglesey. One of the coaches was brand new and the brethren had the distinction of being its very first passengers!
Saturday evening started with another fine meal before retiring to the bar with more entertainment including a prize draw. Every one danced the night away to the singer with classics from all decades of music.
Every one met up the next morning for a nice Sunday ‘full English’ before saying good bye and looking forward to next year’s trip.
Next year’s trip will be announced later and is well worth considering. All the guests had said how much they had enjoyed this relaxing break
