The annual meeting of the Provincial Grand Senatus of East Lancashire for the Ancient and Masonic Order of The Scarlet Cord took place at Shaw Masonic Hall on a cold and very wet February morning. Over 40 brethren had endured heavy rain and traffic chaos to share the day with R.Dist.Comp. Howard Stephen Nuttall V and his team of provincial officers.

Howard opened the meeting by welcoming everyone to  Shaw . The brethren had travelled from far and wide to attend Including Durham and Northumberland, Cheshire, North and East Yorkshire,West Lancashire and the Midlands. Plenty of good Masonic banter took place between Howard and his counterparts from around the provinces, the order is growing and membership is now spread across the United Kingdom.

The brethren retired to the festive board and enjoyed fine food superbly cooked and served by the Staff at The Gables. Howard took wine with all the distinguished brethren, members of his province and all of the visitors. Membership is open to any Prince of the Order Of The Secret Monitor and he encouraged the brethren to spread the word and seek new members.

There are three consistories to choose from Vale of Irwell meets at Rawtenstall in the evening. Beal meets at Shaw and Pomona at Salford and are both day time Consitories.
