Scarlet Cord is the fastest growing order under the Mark Mason’s Hall umbrella at the moment and Beal Valley No 94 had a very busy meeting proving that point.
Two new candidates were inducted into the Scarlet Cord and a new President Installed all in one meeting. Alan Quine opened the Consistory and welcomed the Head of the Order in East Lancashire, Howard Nuttall, to the meeting with appropriate salutations.
He then proceeded to induct Chris Carter and Dr Craig Wood as first grade members of the Scarlet Cord. He was well assisted by the other officers as well as visitors who helped make the ceremony most sincere and enjoyable for all.
With no time to pause for breath he then proceeded to install David Heginbotham as the President of the Consistory in a ceremony equally as good and as well polished as the inductions.
David was now at the helm of the Consistory and conducted the rest of the proceedings perfectly. This included the presentation of certificates to Martin Murray, Carl Buckley and Terry Bailey who have all now attained higher grades. Howard congratulated all the companions and gave a very thorough and interesting explanation of the various certificate.
Alan Quine also received his President’s certificate and of David Heginbotham his patent of installation.
A busy morning was rounded up by harmony at the buffet which followed the closing of the Consistory.
