Colin Lee’s wonderful garden in Leyland provided the perfect setting for a summer garden party! The weather was perfect for the gathering of Secret Monitor Brethren as well as members of the Scarlet Cord. The weather was kind but the traffic in the locality was not with some stuck in hot cars for ages! However it was well worth it – to taste Hector Macdonald’s home made scones and a mouth watering fayre of sausages and burgers cooked by Tony Smith.
The event was hosted by Howard Nuttall and his wife , Carol. The brethren basked in the sun and played croquet, a quite quintessential summer garden party.
There was a raffle to raise money for The Alzheimer Society and Howard had great pleasure in presenting a donation to that charity at the end of the event.
